Whilst aficionados of high-speed sports are powering down the slopes, fans of more gentle exercise are discovering the peace and relaxation inherent in snow-shoe walking, winter walking and cross-country skiing. Here too a vast and varied selection of challenging circuits and routes is available.

Winter walking tracks as far as the eye can see

Access to the wonderful winter countryside is not restricted to those on skis. Thanks to a network of well-marked winter footpaths you can also discover the loveliest parts of Lech on foot. Lech to Zürs? The Gaisbühel high altitude walking trail? The Schlössle castle plateau? Routes of varied grades of difficulty offer walkers of every ability and condition the chance to enjoy the delights of the countryside in winter. And, by the way, a guided snow-shoe walk will take you to hidden corners of the mountains that are not to be found in any guidebook!

Winter walking on the Arlberg

With the "Sonnenabo" lift pass, guests who enjoy nature can experience the clear air, breathtaking views and fabulous panoramic footpaths of the high mountains. A network of approx. 40 kilometres of prepared winter footpaths awaits you. Then, depending on how fancy takes you, you can either seek out the peace and quiet of a traditional mountain hut, or relax on the sun terrace beside the ski piste.

Cross-country skiing

For cross-country skiers Lech Zürs am Arlberg offers a network of excellently prepared cross-country circuits and skating tracks - everything the heart desires!

The reliable snow conditions and a varied 27 kilometre network of cross-country tracks of all standards cannot fail to delight hobby skiers and professionals alike. The cross-country tracks lie in the heart of the stunning mountains, and may be used free of charge throughout the entire season.

On the sled from Oberlech to Lech

From Oberlech to Lech by sled

A real fun adventure awaits young and old alike on the snow-covered, floodlit sled and toboggan run. The run through the woods, several sharp turns and the schuss back down to the bottom station are guaranteed to get the adrenaline going. And if one run is not enough, the Oberlech cable car will take you back up to the starting line in just four minutes!
