The Lech region offers countless different walking opportunities for the whole family. Walkers' buses take you wherever you need to go, e.g. to the starting point of a fabulous hiking tour to the Zuger Tobel. The Tannberg hiking area offers a selection of walks that are both varied and easy: one possible route, for example, takes you through flower-filled alpine meadows, past high almlands and along a stream to the Körber lake. The stretch along the banks of the river Lech is perfectly suited to a walk with prams or buggies, and offers the option of a stop at the forest swimming pool or at a barbecue area. Another good alternative that is well-adapted to four wheels or children's feet is a walk to the Spuller lake; suitable for absolutely everyone, this is a real high altitude mountain experience with fabulous views.
The Burgwald trail by the Lech-Oberlech and Petersboden cable cars was the first official Freeride and endurance track in Vorarlberg. Berms and wood banks, North-Shore-Elements, Drops and technical challenges make this track a sporting challenge for beginners and ambitious bikers alike. This is a biking experience that will not be quickly forgotten!
Undoubtedly one of the most beautiful 9-hole courses in the Alps, the new golf course in the Zuger valley offers all golfing aficionados a run for their money. Located at an altitude of 1,500m, the fairways of Austria's highest golf course enjoy a fabulous location, set against an imposing mountain backdrop. One special challenge (among many others!) is the necessity of playing across the river Lech - on several occasions!
If you're lucky, you may even meet some of the golf course's other local inhabitants, e.g. marmots, chamois and ibex!
Fitness centre, aerobics/dance studio, cycling, tennis, badminton, volleyball, climbing, bouldering, slackline, billiards, darts ...
A huge selection of activities await you, both sports and recreational, plus a pleasant café (free Wifi, live sports coverage).
A visit to the Formarinsee and Spullersee, our local lakes, is an absolute must. Both lakes offer a host of interesting things to do. You can fish, or on especially hot days a bold jump into the cold water is very good way of cooling off! Kids can splash around near the bank and adults can take a walk around the lake and enjoy the peace and quiet.
Afterwards why not enjoy some tasty local food, washed down with a cool drink to toast the wonderful mountain scenery?
Located in the Zugertal at the forest edge, directly beside the river, Lech angling pond enjoys wonderful views of the surrounding mountains. Here just about everyone, novice or professional, can fish for trout and char. After catching your fish, you can cook it in the kitchen beside the angling pond: grilled, smoked and freshly caught!
Bon appetit!
